About the Event
John Wineglass was born in Washington, D.C. in 1973. He played viola in the DC Youth orchestra and received a B.M. degree in Music Composition at the American University. He also earned a master's degree in Music Composition: Film Scoring for Motion Pictures, Television and Multi-Media at New York University. Wineglass won 3 Daytime Emmy awards in the Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction and Composition for a Drama Series category for his work on All My Children. His most recent compositions for orchestra include Big Sur: The Midnight Sun, commissioned and premiered by the Monterey Symphony, Bonny Doon: From the Misty Redwoods down to the Mighty Pacific Ocean, Cityscapes, and Voices of the West.
